SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA (March 21, 2022) – Saturday, authorities arrested Benjamin Garcia Reyes after a crash on Lake Tahoe Boulevard.
 
The incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. on Lake Tahoe Boulevard near Sierra Boulevard.
 
South Lake Tahoe Police and South Lake Tahoe Fire both responded to the scene. When they arrived, they located a White SUV and its driver with serious injuries. Thus, they took the patient to Barton Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
 
Meanwhile, authorities arrested the pickup truck driver, 23-year-old Benjamin Garcia Reyes of Freedom. He’s currently facing charges of felony DUI causing injury. Officers booked him into the El Dorado County jail after an investigation was completed.
 
Moreover, reports confirmed that the victim drove east on Lake Tahoe Boulevard towards Stateline. Then, the pickup clipped the SUV from behind and sent it spinning out of control.
 
Also, officers confirmed that Benjamin Garcia Reyes was DUI. Moreover, the crash shut down the highway for more than an hour.
