Roberta Russo and Kids Injured in Hockinson Fatal Collision
Hockinson, WA (June 25, 2022) – On Friday, Benjamin Andrews, 55, of Brush Prairie, died, while Roberta Russo, 39, of Camas, sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on 212th Avenue.
The authorities responded to the crash scene at 9:15 a.m. in the area of Powell Road and declared Benjamin Andrews dead.
According to the officers, Andrews was riding in a northbound Chevrolet Corvette driven by a 16-year-old driver, also of Brush Prairie.
The Chevrolet hit the left front of a 2018 Jeep Cherokee driven by Russo. Officers say the Jeep was turning south onto 212th Avenue from Powell Road.
The two vehicles collided and spun off the roadway.
Responding officers located a Chevrolet engulfed in flames that had sheared a power pole.
Moreover, the paramedics took the Chevrolet driver to a hospital.
The rescuers also took Roberta Russo and her two passengers, her 6 and 9-year-old children to the hospital.
Meanwhile, investigating officers say excessive speed was a factor in the Hockinson fatal collision.
