1 Dead in Callahan County Auto Accident on Highway 36 and Highway 283
CALLAHAN COUNTY, TX (September 22, 2024) – Friday morning, Benita Yadira Solis Rodriguez died in a crash on Highway 36.
The incident occurred just after 7:00 a.m. on Highway 36 and Highway 283.
Police at the scene reported that Solis Rodriguez failed to yield while crossing Highway 36 at the intersection, resulting in a collision with a westbound 18-wheeler. Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the 18-wheeler and a passenger were transported to the hospital, but their current conditions remain unknown.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
