BEAUMONT, CA – Man Killed in Collision on Highway 79 near Cherry Valley Boulevard

Vehicle Hits Road Sign on Highway 79 in Beaumont Killing the Driver

 
BEAUMONT, CA (March 13, 2019) – A man was killed following a collision on Highway 79 Wednesday afternoon, near Cherry Valley Boulevard.
 
The crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. on Highway 79, also called as Beaumont Avenue, near Cherry Valley Boulevard.
 
According to an initial report, a vehicle was traveling northbound when it struck a sign. Responding fire crews attempted to perform CPR on the driver, but unsuccessful.
 
A coroner was dispatched to the scene and pronounced the driver dead. Information on the victim’s identity was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
 
It it still unclear if the driver died as a result of the crash or if he suffered a medical emergency before his vehicle hit the sign.
 
Further investigation is underway.
