Woman Detained after San Rafael Auto Accident on Highway 101
SAN RAFAEL, CA (August 4, 2020) – Friday night, authorities arrested Beatrice Bigham after a DUI crash on Highway 101.
The incident occurred at around 10:15 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 just north of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. According to CHP Officer Andrew Barclay, 19-year-old Beatrice Bigham drove drunk north in the southbound lanes Highway 101. Thus, she crashed head-on with an SUV.
According to reports, she entered Highway 101 from Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Then, she drove just a short distance before the crash.
Responders treated Beatrice Bigham and a victim for minor injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, the authorities booked Beatrice Bigham of Mill Valley into Marin County Jail. They detained her on suspicion of driving under the influence under the legal age with a blood alcohol concentration of more than 0.15%. She also received charges for allegedly driving the wrong way on a divided freeway.
