Santa Maria, CA (July 8, 2022) On Wednesday, a 14-year-old bicycle rider suffered injuries in a truck-bicycle crash on Battles Road.

According to the Santa Maria police the bicycle accident happened at the intersection with Miller street around 6:40 p.m.

A medical helicopter airlifted the young boy to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital (SBCH). His condition is not immediately available.

Meanwhile, authorities say that the truck driver remained at the scene and no arrests were made.
