PENN VALLEY, CA (September 14, 2023) – Monday night, Barie Duffin sustained injuries in a startling motorcycle crash on Highway 20 near Rough Highway.

The incident happened on Highway 20 near the intersection with Rough and Ready Highway.

According to CHP Officer Jason Bice, a van and a 2001 motorcycle collided for still unknown reasons.

As a result, responders airlifted the 75-year-old motorcyclist to a Sutter Roseville Medical Center with severe fractures. Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t disclosed further information about the injuries.

Moreover, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
