Elderly Woman Dies in 2-Car Crash at Wilson Avenue and San Sevaine Road
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (January 12, 2020) – An elderly woman was killed following a two-car crash late Sunday afternoon in Rancho Cucamonga.
The fatal crash happened around 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of Wilson Avenue and San Sevaine Road.
According to the CHP, a white 2018 Nissan Sentra was traveling west on Wilson Avenue and a 2011 Nissan 300ZX was heading east on the same road.
Authorities said the Sentra driver started to make a left turn onto San Sevaine Road and the vehicle traveled in front of the 300ZX.
The Sentra was hit on the passenger’s side and overturned. The driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Authorities identified the deceased as 84-year-old Barbara Knass of Rancho Cucamonga.
The driver of the 300ZX, an 18-year-old man, was hospitalized in stable condition.
Authorities said the Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash.
