OROVILLE, CA (March 14, 2022) – Saturday, a hit and run crash on Table Mountain Boulevard and Nelson Avenue involved Banessa Santana.

At about 12:55 p.m., 33-year-old Banessa Santana driving a BMW almost crashed with a patrol car. Meanwhile, officers knew that Santana was wanted for two felony warrants, including one for evading officers.

After trying to conduct an enforcement stop, Santana immediately fled in her BMW westbound on Mono Avenue.

Then, the BMW crashed with a Black Honda Civic occupied by a man and two children, one five and the other eight. Also, reports confirmed that the Civic headed south on 12th Street.

Meanwhile, responders transported the 5-year-old Finley in the BMW to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.

Moreover, Santa remained at large and wanted for hit and run causing serious bodily injury and evading law enforcement.

Furthermore, authorities arrested the 50-year-old BMW’s front passenger, Jeremy Papesh of Oroville. He’s currently facing outstanding felony warrants and officers booked him into the Butte County Jail.
