Pedestrian Killed on Union Avenue near East California Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 6, 2018) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian collision on Union Avenue on Tuesday evening.
Officers responded to the scene at around 6:30 PM at the 900 block of Union Avenue just south of East California Avenue. They found the woman who was hit by a car and pronounced her dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle cooperated with the investigators.
Police Sgt. Jeff Saso confirmed that the woman was not on the crosswalk at the time of the crash. No further details about the incident were immediately disclosed by authorities.
