BAKERSFIELD, CA – One Killed in Rollover Crash on Highway 99 at California Avenue

FedEx Truck Overturns in Highway 99 Crash in Bakersfield, One Fatality Reported

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 16, 2019) – One person was killed following a rollover crash late Thursday evening in Bakersfield.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 11:00 p.m. on southbound Highway 99 at California Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a FedEx truck and two passenger vehicles were involved. The FedEx reportedly overturned on the right shoulder.
 
Officers arrived and found one party lying in the slow lane. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim did not survive and was declared dead at the scene.
 
The name, age and town of residence of the deceased were not immediately available.
 
It is also unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
