Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision on Union Avenue near 8th Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 8, 2018) – Authorities continue to look for the hit-and-run driver responsible for a pedestrian crash on Union Avenue, that took place on Tuesday evening.
According to the Bakersfield Police, the collision happened around 8:40 PM. A man pushing his bicycle was trying to cross Union Ave near 8th Street in a marked crosswalk, when a vehicle struck him. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for the treatment of minor to moderate injuries sustained.
