Sacramento, CA (May 21, 2024) – 22-year-old Ayanna Thomas of Sacramento was killed in an Interstate 5 accident early Sunday morning.

The fatal traffic accident happened on the northbound freeway at the U.S. 50 transition.

Investigators said a woman was driving a white Toyota at approximately 65 miles per hour when she suddenly saw Thomas in front of her vehicle and was unable to stop on time..

Sadly, the pedestrian was killed at the crash scene.

The driver was not injured in the accident.
