Avenue L Accident Kills Female Pedestrian [Lancaster, CA]

Lancaster, CA (April 22, 2022) – On Wednesday night, an Avenue L accident claimed the life of a female pedestrian.

The fatal collision took place at around 11:30 p.m. at 6th Street East.

Investigators say the pedestrian was walking northbound across Avenue L when a westbound Toyota driven by a male driver struck the pedestrian.  They say the Toyota driver did not see the woman crossing the roadway. 

 The paramedics rushed the pedestrian to the hospital where she was declared dead. The authorities withheld her identity pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, the authorities are investigating the manner of the accident. Though they said that speed does not appear to be a factor. It is still unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role.
