Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near North County Mall in Escondido
Escondido, CA (November 8, 2024) On Wednesday morning, the tragic auto-pedestrian crash on Via Rancho Parkway left a person dead.
According to Escondido police, the fatal crash happened at about 5:30 a.m. in the 200 block of East Via Rancho Parkway.
Reports say that a westbound vehicle struck and killed a 55-year-old pedestrian in front of North County Mall, Escondido police reported.
Despite the lifesaving efforts of witnesses, officers, and paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity, pending notification of his family.
