Tragic Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Roberts Lane Kills Person [Oildale, CA]

Oildale, CA (October 2, 2023) On Sunday evening, a 30-year-old woman died in an auto-pedestrian crash on Roberts Lane.

According to the CHP, the fatal pedestrian collision happened at Roberts Lane west of MacArthur Drive.

Officials say that a woman walking from south to northbound across Roberts Lane was fatally struck by a westbound 2005 Toyota. The impact of the crash caused the woman to be thrown into the westbound number two traffic lane of Roberts Lane. Consequently causing a BMW to hit the prone pedestrian.

Authorities pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Officials say that the drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials, CHP does not believe impairment as a factor in the crash.

CHP is investigating the probable cause of the auto-pedestrian crash.
