Jurupa Valley, CA (October 12, 2024) On Thursday morning, a horrific auto-pedestrian crash on Mission Boulevard left a person dead.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD), the fatal crash happened before 4 a.m. near the intersection of Sikh Temple Way.

Reports say that a pedestrian was struck and killed while walking along Mission Boulevard in Jurupa Valley early Thursday morning.

Authorities reported that the victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was walking on the westbound side of the road when a motorist, traveling at an unconfirmed speed, hit them.

The driver immediately stopped and called 911. Paramedics from the county fire department arrived within minutes but pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Officials confirmed that the driver, who was uninjured, was questioned by deputies and released.

Police say tha there were no indication that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. Investigators are still determining the exact circumstances surrounding the collision, including the victim’s position on the roadway at the time of the impact.
