Horrific Auto-Pedestrian Crash on La Mesa Road Kills Woman [Victorville, CA]

Victorville, CA (October 2, 2024) On Sunday evening, a woman was pronounced dead after a horrific auto-pedestrian crash on La Mesa Road.

According to the Victorville Fire Department (VFD), the fatal crash happened at about 7:13 p.m. in the area of La Mesa Road and Evelyn Court.

Reports say that a female pedestrian lost her life after being struck by a vehicle in Victorville on Sunday night.

Deputies from the Victorville Station, along with rescue personnel from the Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response, arrived at the scene.

Authorities identified the crash involved a blue Kia Optima and an unidentified woman.

Officials say that the pedestrian sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a local hospital, but despite lifesaving efforts, she passed away.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Kia Optima remained at the scene and fully cooperated with the deputies.

The Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team took over the investigation. La Mesa Road between Topaz Road and Mesa Linda Avenue was closed for several hours to facilitate the investigation.
