According to the Chico Police Department (CPD), the traffic crash happened at Esplanade Avenue and Sacramento Avenue.
Reports say that a vehicle, driven by a 23-year-old Chico State student, struck a 17-year-old Chico High School student crossing in a marked crosswalk.
Authorities say that the teen was seriously hurt in the crash, Police says that drugs and alcohol were not to be a factor in this collision.
