Elderly Pedestrian Killed in Bus Accident on Azusa Avenue in City of Industry
City of Industry (September 23, 2024) On Monday evening, a person was killed in a horrific auto-pedestrian crash on Azusa Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Azusa Avenue and Pepper Brook.
Reports say that a northbound Foothill Transit bus en route to La Habra hit the pedestrian while traveling on Azusa Avenue. Authorities have not confirmed whether the man was in a marked crosswalk or on the street when the accident occurred.
Nine individuals, including the driver, were on the bus at the time of the crash, but none sustained any injuries. The pedestrian’s identity has not yet been released.
Authorities are investigating the fatal pedestrian crash.
