Fresno, CA (September 8, 2023) On Thursday morning, a mother and her child was hurt after an auto-pedestrian crash on 1st Street.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the pedestrian accident happened south of Shields Avenue near Birney Elementary School.

Officials say that a Volkswagen, driven by a woman in her 70s, struck a mother with her 11-year-old child, 2 other children were with them, fortunately they escaped injuries.

Reports say that the Volkswagen turned from Princeton Avenue was struck the pedestrians on the crosswalk.
