Puyallup, WA (December 25, 2024) On Sunday afternoon, an 18-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl sustained injuries after a brutal auto-pedestrian crash on 12th Avenue.

According to Puyallup police (PPD), the pedestrian accident happened at the 1300 block of 12th Avenue Northwest at around 2:41 p.m.

Reports say that the serious car-versus-pedestrian collision left an 18-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl with significant injuries.

Authorities arrived on 12th Avenue Northwest, near Sam Peach Park. Upon arrival, they located the injured woman and child, who were transported to Tacoma-area hospitals for treatment. Both victims reside in unincorporated Puyallup, according to authorities.

Police questioned the driver, a 32-year-old Puyallup man, who reportedly showed signs of drug impairment. He had two children in the vehicle, both of whom were unharmed.

Officers arrested the driver and booked him into Pierce County Jail. He faces charges including vehicular assault, reckless endangerment, and driving without a license.
