Traffic Backed Up After Fatal Pedestrian Crash at State Route 526
Everett, WA (August 9, 2024) On Thursday morning, a 52-year-old man from Mukilteo was killed after a tragic auto-pedestrian collision on Interstate 5.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 9:01 a.m. at the Boeing freeway at State Route 526.
Reports say that a vehicle fatally struck a pedestrian, the collision caused severe traffic delays on SR 9, SR 204 and US 2 as well.
Officials say that the pedestrian was thrown over the overpass and landed between lanes 1 and 2 of southbound I-5. Officials say that several vehicles struck the pedestrian.
Authorities are investigating the fatal collision and have not released additional information at this time.
