Chula Vista, CA (July 2, 2023) On Friday evening, a 65-year-old man sitting on a bus bench was hurt after an auto-pedestrian accident on E Street.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department (CVPD), the traffic collision happened around 9 p.m. on the 300 block of E Street.

Officials say that a large pickup truck plowed into a bus bench, where the 65-year-old man was sitting.

Rescuers applied first aid to the man before transporting the patient to a hospital. Officials say that the man is in critical condition.

CVPD is investigating the traffic collision and has not released additional details at this time.
