Stolen Vehicle Involved in San Antonio Vehicle Crash near Trinity and Woodlawn Avenue

SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 10, 2024) – Early Tuesday morning, a startling auto accident near Trinity and Woodlawn Avenue injured an officer.

Reports revealed that a SAPD patrol cruiser collided with a stolen vehicle that ran a red light near Trinity and Woodlawn Avenue.

According to reports, the officer was heading back to the station after handling a disturbance call when it crashed with a vehicle on the driver’s side that had run a red light.

As a result, the officer suffered minor injuries. However, the authorities haven’t clarified whether the officer was taken to an area hospital to be checked out.

Meanwhile, the other vehicle, a stolen one, had two minor occupants inside, both believed to be roughly 15 years of age, police said.

Officers detained the teens and both claimed not to be the driver. According to them, a third person escaped the crash scene.

Reports confirmed that both teens sustained minor injuries.
