1 Detained after Newport Beach Car Crash
NEWPORT BEACH, CA (February 20, 2020) – Authorities arrested a driver following a DUI crash on El Cajon Boulevard.
According to reports, the driver first rammed into a dentist’s office on February 16 in the Normal Heights neighborhood. The police later arrested her on suspicion of driving drunk.
The authorities initially received a report of the crash at around 6:30 a.m. The incident left a large hole in the building that houses A+ Family Dentistry on the 3800 block of El Cajon Boulevard. The driver and passenger didn’t suffer any serious injuries.
The 21-year-old female driver couldn’t explain to the police how the crash occurred. She only said that she and her passenger came from a wedding.
Consequently, the police detained the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence.
