VALLE VISTA, CA (July 20, 2022) – Friday night, Austun Cooley died in a motorcycle crash on Acacia Avenue near New Chicago Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 9:15 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Acacia Avenue, just west of New Chicago Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that an eastbound 2012 Yamaha traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, the motorcyclist saw a truck across two lanes and veered the motorcycle onto its side to avoid the collision. However, the motorcycle and its rider slid under the pickup truck.
 
Moreover, responders rushed the motorcyclist, 26-year-old Austen Cooley, to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley. However, he later succumbed to injuries. Meanwhile, the pickup driver suffered no injuries.
 
Furthermore, authorities questioned the pickup driver but they didn’t make any arrests.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
