Injuries Reported in Miller County Single-Vehicle Accident on Highway 52 and Admire Road
MILLER COUNTY, MO (July 18, 2024) – Late Monday night, Austin Oberreither and Maggie Stephens suffered injuries in a crash on Highway 52.
The incident happened at 11:55 p.m. when a 2017 Lincoln MKX driven by 22-year-old Oberreither headed east at a high rate of speed on Highway 52 west of Admire Road.
The vehicle then veered off the right side of the road, began to skid, and struck a tree.
Oberreither sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to University Hospital. His passenger, 19-year-old Stephens, was transported to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
Troopers reported that Stephens was wearing a seatbelt, while Oberreither was not. The Lincoln MKX was totaled in the crash.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
