2 Student Athletes Struck by Car in Temecula Accident on De Portola

 
TEMECULA, CA (October 20, 2020) – On Saturday morning, Austin Elkins and Jacob Brown sustained injuries in a crash on De Portola Road.
 
Moreover, according to CHP, the incident happened at around 8:00 a.m.
 
An 18-year-old Riverside woman driving eastbound in a 2016 Ford F-250 made an unsafe move.
 
Apparently, she drifted off the road, hitting the two boys who were running in the process.
 
As a result, responders transported the two boys, ages 14 and 15 to Inland Valley Medical Center after suffering moderate injuries.
 
Additionally, the involved female driver stayed at the scene to cooperate with the authorities. She claimed the sun impeded on her ability to see the student athletes.
 
According to Jonathan Elkins, his son Austin suffered a fracture in the neck, fracture around the eye, fractured skull, minor brain bleeding, and broken bones in the arm.
 
Meanwhile, Jacob Brown sustained arm injuries that required surgery.
 
Reports revealed that police have made no arrests thus far.
