Phoenix, AZ (August 30, 2024) – On Thursday noon, 27-year-old Austin Coon died in a crash on 35th and Peoria Avenues.

Around noon on Thursday, emergency crews responded to reports of a crash with injured pedestrians near 35th and Peoria Avenues. 

Upon arrival, Phoenix police and fire crews found two adults with serious injuries. One of them, identified as 27-year-old Austin Coon, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The other victim, a woman, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

According to investigators, the collision between two vehicles caused one of them to veer off the road and strike multiple pedestrians. 

The investigation is still ongoing, and no further details have been released.
