Juan Martinez Arrested in Sylmar DUI Accident on 14000 Foothill Boulevard

SYLMAR, CA (September 9, 2023) – Thursday night, Aurora Reynozo died in a tragic DUI crash on 14000 Foothill Boulevard.

The incident happened at around 8:45 p.m. on the 14000 block of Foothill Boulevard.

According to reports, a white Ford Fusion sedan drifted and struck an 87-year-old female who was walking home after being dropped off at an apartment complex. Then, the force of the crash pushed the victim down hard the roadway. Also, the suspect vehicle fled the scene before colliding with at least four or five more parked vehicles.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the 87-year-old victim died in the crash.

Furthermore, authorities arrested the vehicle driver, Juan Martinez, on suspicion of DUI.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
