Audrey Reddington Dead in Morton Car Accident
MORTON, WA (January 25, 2019) – A woman from Randle died Wednesday afternoon after crashing head-on into a garbage truck east of Morton on Highway 12, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Audrey D. Reddington, 63, of Randle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to a press release, the crash was reported at 1:23 p.m. Wednesday at milepost 99 of the highway, two miles east of Morton. Reddington’s vehicle, a silver 2016 Nissan Versa, was heading east when it reportedly crossed the center-line and hit a garbage truck driven by a 48-year-old Rochester man.
The garbage truck driver was not injured, Trooper Will Finn told The Chronicle, but he was transported to Morton General Hospital for evaluation.
Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the incident.
