One Dead and Three Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Auburn-Black Diamond Road near Lake Holm Road
AUBURN, WA (February 25, 2018) – The Washington State Patrol reported a fatal accident involving a semi-truck on Auburn-Black Diamond Road near Lake Holm Road, on Sunday evening.
A semi-truck was traveling in the northbound lanes near Holm Rd just east of Auburn, when its trailer tipped over into oncoming traffic. The King County Sheriff’s Office and the Mountain View Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of the crash.
The vehicle was reportedly leaning over the guardrail, making it very difficult for emergency responders to extricate the victims inside of the car.
The female driver was pronounced dead on the scene, while a man and child sitting passengers sustained injured and were taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The semi driver also suffered injuries and was transported to the same hospital. Their condition has not yet been released.
Roads were closed for several hours while authorities conducted their investigation. No other information has been released at this time as the investigation continues.
