2 Juveniles Hospitalized After Crash on US 50 in Johnson County

Johnson County, MO (August 11, 2024) – On Sunday morning, two juveniles sustained injuries in an ATV crash on US 50.

According to the Highway Patrol, two 12-year-old boys from Harrisonville were riding a 2022 Kayo Storm A180 ATV eastbound on US 50 in Johnson County when the driver failed to navigate a curve. 

The ATV began to slide and then became airborne. The passenger jumped from the vehicle before it hit the ground. 

Upon landing, the ATV overturned and landed on the driver, causing moderate injuries. The passenger sustained minor injuries. 

Both boys were transported to Children’s Mercy for treatment.
