PASO ROBLES, CA (December 21, 2022) – Friday night, a deadly crash on Highway 101 and Highway 46 involved Ashish Krishnani and Kam Sau.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Highway 101 North and Highway 46 East.

According to reports, a 62-year-old transient male ran across the southbound lanes of Highway 101 north of Highway 46 East.

Then, 32-year-old Ashish Krishnani from San Mateo driving a 2020 Hyundai Mantra hit him. Then, 48-year-old Kam Sau from Hong Kong traveling in a 2019 Jeep Cherokee eventually hit him.

As a result, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Meanwhile, neither driver sustained injuries.

Also, the preliminary investigation said that the man ran across the traffic lanes in front of the southbound vehicles.

Also, officers confirmed that both of the drivers of the striking vehicles didn’t show signs of driving under the influence or distracted driving.

Meanwhile, the crash shut down the southbound lanes of Highway 101 until approximately 10:45 p.m. for the crash investigation.

Also, the authorities diverted the traffic on southbound Highway 101 to the off-ramp to Highway 46 East and back onto southbound Highway 101 via the Highway 46 East on-ramp.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
