39-Year-Old Toyota Driver Dies in Head-On Crash Near Pleasant Grove Boulevard
Roseville, CA (February 24, 2022) – On Wednesday, officers arrested 34-year-old Arturo Garcia of Carmichael in a fatal DUI crash on Highway 65 that killed a 39-year-old Toyota male driver from Roseville.
According to the investigators, the fatal collision happened minutes after 10 p.m. near Pleasant Grove Boulevard.
They say that a white 2015 Subaru Impreza driven by Garcia swerved left from the center divider and went into the fast lane of southbound traffic.
As a result, the Subaru collided head-on into a 1994 Toyota Corolla driven by the Roseville man.
The Toyota driver sustained fatal injuries and lost his life at a hospital. Officers said he was not wearing a seat belt when the collision happened.
The paramedics also rushed Arturo Garcia to a hospital with major injuries. Officers arrested him on suspicion of DUI.
Moreover, a third vehicle was also hit by debris from the incident, but the driver did not sustain injuries.
The authorities withheld the deceased’s identity pending family notification.
