Arturo Carrillo Involved in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 152 [Madera County, CA]

Madera County, CA (January 19, 2024) On Thursday morning, Arturo Carrillo was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 152 that left a person dead and another injured.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the traffic collision happened around 6 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 152 and Road 9.

Reports say that Carillo was driving a southbound big rig that attempted to cross the intersection when a car crashed into his vehicle’s trailer. The impact of the crash Knocked off the big rig’s haul of tree stakes.

Officials say that the stakes in the roadway then created a hazard for other drivers at a time when visibility was very low due to fog.

A car struck one of the stakes and veered off the road, while another big rig tried to avoid the stakes, however, it collided with an SUV.

Authorities say that the SUV driver, identified as a Madera man in his 30s, died due to the crash, and another driver was reported to have suffered injuries.

CHP is investigating the fatal multi-vehicle collision and has not released further details at this time.
