Arturo Becerril Rodriguez Killed in Tragic Crash on Edinger Avenue [Huntington Beach, CA]

Huntington Beach, CA (February 13, 2024) On Friday evening, 55-year-old Arturo Becerril Rodriguez of Huntington Beach was killed in a rear-end collision on Edinger Avenue.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD), the fatal crash happened at about 9:30 p.m. at Edinger Avenue east of Edwards Street.

Reports say that Sellers was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado that rear-ended the 2010 Toyota Prius driven by the Huntington Beach man.

Authorities say that Sellers fled the scene after the collision, while, Rodriguez was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, Rodriguez ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police later arrested and booked Sellers on suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.

Authorities say that Sellers was allegedly driving too fast before the rear-end crash.
