Buena Park Reserve Police Officer Killed in Crash Near Promenade Avenue
CORONA, CA (September 28, 2019) – Arthur Brice died in a crash on 91 Freeway on Saturday morning. The victim was an off-duty Buena Park reserve police officer at the time of the accident.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near the intersection of Promenade Avenue just after 5:00 AM.
Based on a report, the trailer of a big rig detached in a freeway lane. Its driver pulled to a stop and called CHP Dispatch. A minute later, the sedan of Brice, 58, of Moreno Valley, hit the back of the disabled trailer and then spun to the right, where it hit a second tractor-trailer.
Brice was extricated from his vehicle and was sent to Riverside Community Hospital, where he later died due to injuries.
