Bicyclist Dies in Hampton Road Traffic Crash
Othello, WA (September 11, 2022) – On September 9, Artemio Cortez-Cortez, 59, sustained fatal injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Taylor Road.
It was about 8:30 p.m. when the officers found Artemio Cortez-Cortez dead with his bike in the area of Hampton Road.
Officers say Cortez-Cortez was driving his bicycle at the intersection with Hampton Road when he was rear-ended and the force of the crash threw him onto the ground and the vehicle continued driving.
In the meantime, officers are waiting for the autopsy result to identify the cause of the victim’s death.
