1 Killed and 2 Hurt in Wilton Traffic Accident on Dillard Road

 
WILTON, CA (July 26, 2022) – Sunday morning, Arla Gustafson died in a two-vehicle crash on Dillard Road in Wilton.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Dillard Road.
 
Reports revealed that a 2016 Toyota Corolla veered off the right shoulder of the road for still unknown reasons. Then, the Toyota driver, 79-year-old Arla Gustafson, overcorrected and veered towards the eastbound lanes. Then, she collided head-on with an eastbound Hyundai.
 
Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated Arla Gustafson and the Hyundai driver from their vehicles. Then, a 12-year-old passenger of the Hyundai managed to exit the vehicle without assistance. Meanwhile, paramedics transported Gustafson to Kaiser South Hospital where she later died.
 
Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs, alcohol, or speed played a role in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
