Aristeo Castro Dead in Mendota Car Accident on Highway 180
FRESNO, CA (February 16, 2021) – Monday morning, Aristeo Castro, 73, died in a head-on crash on Highway 180, east of Mendota.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at about 11:15 a.m. on Highway 180 in Fresno County.
The officers revealed that a man in a Ford F-150 drove west on Highway 180. However, a tire on his pickup blew out.
Then, he lost control of the vehicle and drove across the highway’s eastbound lanes. Afterward, he crashed head-on with another vehicle.
The impact of the collision left the driver of the second vehicle with fatal injuries. At this time, the CHP hasn’t disclosed the identity of the deceased.
Also, they haven’t clarified whether the Ford truck driver suffered any injuries.
Due to the limited information available, the California Highway Patrol officers continue to investigate the incident.
