MODESTO, CA (September 1, 2020) – On Sunday, two girls named Arianna Maliones and Rosabella Maliones sustained injuries in a vehicle crash on Highway 99.
 
The authorities received a report of the crash, which occurred on the northbound lanes of Highway 99 near Beckwith Road exit.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white SUV driver spun out and crashed into the center median. Moreover, the driver fled the scene, leaving the SUV blocking the fast lane partially.
 
Then, a 2006 Honda, driven by Allan Maliones, a Modesto resident, struck the blocking SUV.
 
The emergency crews, firefighters, and an ambulance all responded to the scene.
 
Furthermore, reports state that 13-year-old Arianna Maliones suffered chest pain. Meanwhile, 8-year-old Rosabella suffered a fracture in her right femur.
As a result, medics took both girls to hospitals, one by ambulance and the latter by helicopter.
 
Due to limited information available, the crash remains under active investigation.
