Driver Dies in Vehicle Crash near Mile Marker 55
Pemiscot County, MO (July 23, 2024) – 64-year-old Archie Henry of Jonesboro, Arkansas, was injured in an Interstate 55 fatal crash late Sunday night.
The fatal collision happened at 11:45 p.m. on July 21 near mile marker 55.
MSHP officers said 51-year-old Alphonso Savage of Chicago was traveling south when he struck the towed unit of another vehicle driven by 51-year-old Brashawn Henry of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Archie Henry was a passenger in the towed unit. He was transported to St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with minor injuries. Officers said he was not wearing a seat belt.
Moreover, the rescuers rushed Savage to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti but he died.
