Late Evening Multi-Vehicle Crash in Arcadia Leads to Major Injuries
ARCADIA, CA (March 1, 2019) – Major injuries were sustained following a multi-vehicle collision late Friday evening in Arcadia.
The collision happened around 11:50 p.m. on westbound 210 Freeway at North Baldwin Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver sedan was stalled on the roadway when it was hit by a semi truck. Several other vehicles then got involved following the initial crash.
When officers arrived, two women was found lying on the ground, possibly ejected from their vehicles. Another two women were found in the back seat of a vehicle, unknown if they were hurt from the crash.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene and reported major injuries sustained as a result of the accident. The exact number of injured victims were not immediately available.
A SigAlert was issued in the area, blocking all freeway lanes, except the first and HOV lanes, for unknown duration while officers worked on the scene.
Due to several factors remained unclear, investigation is ongoing.
