1 Dead and 4 Injured in Fresno Suspected DUI Accident on Highway 180 near Shasta Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (September 19, 2022) – Saturday night, authorities arrested Antonio Orosco after a fatal crash on Highway 180 near Shasta Avenue.
 
According to the authorities, the incident happened at around 9:15 p.m. Also, the collision occurred on westbound Highway 180 near Shasta Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that a westbound Honda sedan veered across the eastbound lanes. Then, it collided head-on with an eastbound Acura sedan.
 
Moreover, officials confirmed that the 20-year-old driver of the Acura died in the crash. Then, paramedics transported four passengers of the Acura to Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno. Then, they suffered moderate to major injuries. Also, responders said that the driver of the wrong-way vehicle, 27-year-old Antonio Orosco of Fresno, went to a hospital with major injuries.
 
Furthermore, officers arrested Orosco for DUI, suspicion of drug impairment, and vehicular manslaughter.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
