66-Year-Old Daly City Man Fatally Injured in Pedestrian Accident on San Jose Avenue and Rice Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (February 24, 2018) – An elderly pedestrian was fatally injured in a pedestrian collision on San Jose Avenue in the Crocker-Amazon area on Saturday morning.
The victim was identified by the San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office as 66-year-old Antonio Octaviano of Daly City.
According to police, Octaviano was crossing the street at the intersection of San Jose Avenue and Rice Street when he was struck by a car at around 6:20 AM. The victim was rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment. Police said he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The driver who hit Octaviano was described to be 76-year-old man. He was not arrested at the scene.
No further details about the fatal accident were immediately disclosed.
