Perejitei Bekewe Faces Charges on Hatton Vehicle Collision
Hatton, WA (June 9, 2023) – At at around 12:20 p.m. on Thursday, 52-year-old Anthony Williamson sustained injuries following a dump truck collision on State Route 26.
The authorities investigating the incident stated that a Ram 1500 pickup truck driven by 26-year-old Perejitei Bekewe was northbound on Johnson Road approaching the freeway. Bekewe failed to yield at the stop sign and approached the freeway hitting the bed of a dump truck driven by Anthony Williamson.
Bekewe’s vehicle completely spun and struck the dump truck twice. Williamson overcorrected on the impact and the big rig rolled onto its driver’s side 50 feet off the road.
Immediately, the paramedics rushed both drivers to area hospitals.
The authorities said Bekewe is at fault in the collision for failing to yield.
