Anthony Gonzales Fatally Struck in Turlock Accident on Dels Lane

 
TURLOCK, CA (March 16, 2021) – Monday morning, 27-year-old Anthony Gonzales died in a pedestrian crash on Monte Vista Avenue and Dels Lane.
 
Turlock Police Lt. Neil Cervenka said that just before 7:00 a.m., the 27-year-old man walked south across Monte Vista Avenue and Dels Lane.
 
Then, a westbound Chevrolet Tahoe hit him in the intersection.
 
When the first responding officer and an off-duty firefighter arrived, they started CPR on the unresponsive pedestrian. However, despite efforts, Mr. Gonzales succumbed to injuries at a local hospital.
 
Meanwhile, the 41-year-old Turlock woman who drove the Tahoe remained at the scene. She has been cooperative with the investigation.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t determined whether the pedestrian used a crosswalk. Also, they haven’t identified who had the right of way.
 
Authorities do not believe that drugs, alcohol, or speed played a role in the crash.
