32-Year-Old Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Collision near Princeton Avenue in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (March 23, 2020) – Early Thursday morning, 32-year-old Anthony Choza was killed in a pedestrian accident on Weber Avenue.
California Highway Patrol received reports of the collision around 4:00 a.m. Dispatchers arrived on North Weber Avenue and West Princeton Avenue, shortly after.
A pickup-truck reportedly struck Choza while he was walking on the road. Medics located him down on the roadway suffering from life-threatening injuries upon arrival.
Authorities pronounced Choza dead on scene due to the impact of the collision.
Meanwhile, the pickup-truck driver remained at the scene. It was also noted that the driver has been cooperative with authorities.
The surrounding area on Weber Avenue was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
